Q: How has peer mentoring affected you?

“It has affected me in a positive way. It’s given me a better reason to come to school. I’ve also formed a lot of good relationships with the kids I mentor. It’s also opened my eyes to many career paths.”

Q: Do you want to continue peer mentoring in the future?

A: “Yes, it gives me an idea of what I want to do with my life after high school. I hope to continue it throughout high school.”

A: “I enjoyed my time in Best Buddies last year, and I thought it would be cool to be able to do it more often.”

Q: What’s your favorite part of peer mentoring?

A: “The relationships we form and hoping that I am making a positive impact on others.”

Q: Has there been an experience that has impacted you during your time peer mentoring?

A: “Not one experience has really impacted, mostly little experiences everyday. The hugs and laughs from the kids I mentor make my day. I especially enjoy when the students say hello to me or interact outside of class.”
