Even with a late start to the game, the varsity softball team came out on top against LaPorte High School on Friday, April 25 with a score of 7-2.

Coming together as a team is essential to generating positive attitudes for following games.

“I think we played good as a team. We’re really starting to come together and continue to get better with every win. I think we’ll do better our second time playing conference teams,” Sydney Scherzinger (11) said.

Elizabeth Seymour (12) hit a home run during her first at-bat of the game.

“I thought I played well. My hitting was good; I made two errors in fielding, but I came back from those and made the next play so I learned from my mistakes,” Seymour said.

Although the score reflects a great game, some players think their team has more potential than their performance at this game shows.

“I do think we played well. We had some very good hits, but we could have played better,” Sarah Banasiak (11) said.
