Mrs. Kelsey Becich, English, who is currently taking a maternity leave due the birth of her son, returned to school for a visit with her N-teens club members on Tuesday, April 29, but she was not the only one making an appearance.

Liam Becich made his big debut at the N-teens meeting on April 29. The two were welcomed with a party thrown by N-teens members to celebrate his birth.

“We just miss Mrs. Becich. It means a lot to us to have her here. We just wanted to be a part of her life since she’s a part of ours,” Taylor Koutropoulos (12), president of N-teens, said.

Becich and her son arrived to Mrs. Erin Rawls’, Math, room after school, which was adorned with blue decorations. N-teens put together two baskets filled with essentials for new mothers and many N-teens members also contributed baby books to the baskets.

“I had the idea of the basket on Pintrest. It didn’t take that long [to make],” Koutropoulos said.

Becich and her N-teens members also enjoyed lots of treats that they contributed to the party.

“I was very surprised and very touched when Mrs. Rawls contacted me and I thought it was really wonderful. It’s just a great celebration of him,” Mrs. Becich said.
