As the 2014 spring track season comes to an end, the JV girls team headed to one of their last meets on Friday, May 2 in Rensselaer.  They were able to win over six other teams.

Each runner, thrower or jumper prepared in her own way. The girls were able to win the field events and win almost every running event.  Head Coach, Mr. Ron Fredrick, encouraged the girls to perform their best for their last race of the season.

At the end of the night, the Indians were satisfied with their victory. The girls now prepare for the next season with excitement to do better.

“I think this season was pretty successful. I was happy that I did track because I liked the group of girls and running,” Darby McGrath (9) said.

As the girls begin to talk about the next season, they started to set goals.

“I would like to improve more than this year. My goals for next season are to make the post-season roster and drop at least 20 seconds off my personal record in the mile,” Jennifer Crague (9) said.
