On the hot afternoon of Sept. 4, the freshmen boys football team defeated Kankakee Valley High School with a score of 29-15. The boys played their hardest and are ready to continue their success for the upcoming season.

“We did solid. We tried but we missed a few blocks, but I know we are going to do great Thursday at Portage,” Ryan Oljace (9) said.

Even after their win, the boys are motivated to improve any mistakes they may have done during this game.

“We did good, better than last week,” David Marker (9) said, “I’m excited for the upcoming season.”

The boys are unsure of their toughest competitors, but they’re excited to play more schools and continue to play their hardest. Their next game will be at Portage Thursday, Sept. 11.
