From sleep to sports, students spend their weekend hours all over the area doing various activities and creating different memories. Starbucks is a major hotspot for many.

“I like the environment and the people that work there. They’re like my family,” Nicole Toler (12) said.

Toler spends almost all weekend, every weekend at Starbucks with some of her closest friends, given that she is not working at Strack & Van Til.

Other students enjoy a slightly more concrete schedule.

“On Friday nights, I go to the football games and then to church,” London Martin (12) said.

Members of the Lake Hills Baptist Church come together after football games for what they call “fifth quarter.”

“We have pizza and play games until midnight,” Martin said.

Several students take their time off to simply relax and unwind.

“I sleep-in most of the time and watch TV,” Daniel VanDenburgh (11) said.

VanDenburgh occasionally practices guitar and piano for a few hours or catches a movie.

“Last weekend, I went to see ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ in Hobart with a few friends,” VanDenburgh said.

Whether it is spending time with friends or just catching up on some missed sleep, students pack their schedules full for the weekend.
