Lake Central students and advisors come together on Oct. 16 to raise awareness of a common issue in high school: bullying.

“The Teachers Bullying Committee talked to students [about starting this awareness idea]. Office aide students put the poster together,” Mr. Ed Beck, Assistant Principal, said.

A poster has been made and hung up in main street for students or faculty to sign their name on it. After signing their name, they receive a bracelet with “LC Bullying Awareness” written on it.

“I think it’s going to decrease the amount of unnecessary bullying in this school,” Sarah Banasiak (12) said.

Students gathered around the poster during lunch periods to join the cause by signing their name. The poster was almost filled by the end of A lunch.

“I say no to bullying,” Brooke Renner (12) said.

The signing will continue for the remainder of lunch periods today and will possibly resume during tomorrow’s lunch periods as well.
