Q: How long have you been swimming?

A: I’ve been swimming for six or seven years.

Q: Why did you start swimming?

A:  I had a pool in my backyard growing up, and my parents encouraged it, so I joined the Barracudas swim team.

Q: Why did you keep swimming?

A: When I was on my first team I met a lot of new friends and enjoyed the atmosphere of the sport, so I kept with it.

Q: How was it swimming on varsity as an underclassman?

A: It was intimidating at first, but the older girls motivated me and made me feel welcomed.

Q: What are your goals for this season?

A: My biggest goals for the season are to place well at state and stay close with my team.

Q: What events do you swim?

A: I swim 100 back and 100 fly and participate in relays.

Q: What is your favorite thing about swimming?

A: Swimming is a great stress reliever and helps you escape. I could not imagine my life without swimming.
