On Tuesday, Jan. 20, the varsity girls basketball team dominated the floor by defeating the Lowell Red Devils 65-30. The girls approached the court with a winning attitude and carried their spirit to a victory.
“We worked well together as a team. We always try to just work together. We have been trying harder and harder,” Kylie Furhman (10) said.
The next game will take place on Friday, Jan. 23, against Valparaiso. The outcome of the next game will determine whether or not the girls will play in the DAC championship. Valparaiso is a competitive opponent, so the girls plan to give it their all.
“They are a tough team. We aren’t just going to be able to go out there and win. We have to bring our best,” Ashley O’Malley (12) said.
The girls see every game as a chance to improve their skills.
“We learn from every game. We just want to get better every game — break it down [and] see all of the things that we did bad. Hopefully we are getting better,” Lindsay Kusbel (12) said.
