Q: How long have you been working at Lake Central?
A: “[I have been working here] for 25 and a half years.”
Q: What what will you miss after working here for so long?
A: “A lot of the people I’ve met, that’s the thing I’m going to miss most about this. I mean there’s a lot, but I’ve worked with some of these women for the whole time. I went through them having kids, and we went through our first grandkids together, and our kids getting married, and things like that.”
Q: What changes have you noticed over time?
A: “The big changes are probably in all the change in what we can serve and not serve. We used to sell fries, and pizza puffs, and deep fried stuff. We’ve had to change our menus around a lot and try to find things that the students like because they weren’t happy when the changes started.”
Q: Do you have a favorite memory from your time here?
A: “[My favorite memory is] when the baseball team won State. [There was] so much excitement, and my son’s the coach.”
Q: Do you have a least favorite memory?
A: “I don’t think so. Nothing that I could think of off-hand. Probably at the time there was something I wasn’t crazy about but I can’t think about it now because now is a good time and I’m thinking of all the good times.”
