The boys tennis team lost to Chesterton High School 4-1 on Sept. 3. The matches took place on Lake Central’s home courts.
Even though it was a hot and humid day, the boys played their best. The weather made it hard to play, but they persevered and played the best they could.
“I thought I played a good match, it was long and it was hot,” Keith Crawford (11) said.
After losing Thursday’s match against Chesterton, they plan on working hard and working toward further games and tournaments.
“[I am looking forward to] going to sectionals and hopefully regionals and overnight tournaments,” Crawford said.
Their next match is Sept. 10 at home against LaPorte High School. Also, the game against Crown Point is Sept. 22 at 4:15 p.m. at home.
“[Our biggest competitor is] Crown Point,” John Mamelson (12) said.
