JV Boy’s Soccer had a close game at home with Chesterton on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The Indians took the victory with a score of 1-0.
“I played decent, but it definitely wasn’t my best. It’s been a long season. The team as a whole did pretty good keeping Chesterton off our backs. I think they had a perfect season up until now, [but] I think we’re the only team in the DAC with a perfect season [now],” Maxwell Hill (10) said.
Chesterton was a tough team to beat, but the Indians were able to sneak in and score the one and only goal of the night during the first half.
“[My favorite moment was] when we scored because it gave us the lead,” Alexander Osorio (9) said.
The team’s strong defense prevented goals made by the other team, upholding Lake Central’s record. The boys have only three more games to ensure this record for this season.
“[Our] next game is in [Valparaiso] on Wednesday, Sept. 23,” Osorio said.
