The varsity volleyball team defeated Crown Point on Thursday, Sept. 24. The Lady Indians beat the Bulldogs in four sets.
“They’re a strong team,” Coach Tina Tinberg said. “They always come out and battle.”
The Indians took the first two sets with scores of 25-14 and 25-10, but suffered a suffered a loss to the Bulldogs in the third set, losing 25-19. Coach Tinberg knew it would be a close and tough game.
“We know from past history that they’re one of our greatest rivals,” Coach Tinberg said.
Even though the Indians lost one set to the Bulldogs, they returned in the fourth set, ending the game with a 25-20 victory. The ladies will next take on Portage on Sept. 29. The game will take place at Portage High School.
“I’m proud of this group and all they’ve accomplished. They have a relentless fight inside them,” Coach Tinberg said.
