On Oct. 1, the freshman football team took down the Michigan City Wolves with an ending score of 35-6. The game was at home and started at 6 p.m.
“I think we played really well tonight. We had a couple injuries earlier this season, so we had to move some kids around this week. We did much better [this game],” Coach Brian Thomson, Social Studies, said.
By the second quarter, Lake Central had scored a touchdown and a field goal, leading the game 7-0.
“[A high point in the game was] when we were on the [40-yard line] and Carlos Mancera (9) scored a [60-yard] touchdown to put the game away,” Zach Bundalo (9) said.
In the last seconds of the second half, the Indians scored for the the third time which brought the score to 20-0.
“I think the win overall was good, everything was perfect. [We] hope to achieve a good ending for the season and [be] undefeated,” Chayse Sykes (9) said.
The Indians continued to score till the end of the game. The next game will be against the Chesterton Trojans on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m.
