On Nov. 21, the varsity girls basketball team went toe to toe with Penn High School at LC. The Lady Indians lost to Penn with a final score of 54-36.

“I feel that the nerves got to us a little bit, and we can only get better and take it as a learning experience. I think personally I need to work on getting quicker on defense and keeping the whole team up throughout the game and not letting anyone get down,” Emily Miklusak (12) said.

The Lady Indians stayed behind Penn throughout the first half. The end score at the second quarter was 28-17.

“We battled really hard throughout the game. We just have to keep learning from every game and keep getting smarter and stronger,” Kylie Fehrman (11) said.
The next game will be away on Nov. 27. The girls will face the Chesterton Trojans at 7:30 p.m.
