Freshman boys basketball faced LaPorte on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m. Lake Central defeated LaPorte with a score of 46-26. The Indians stayed in the lead throughout the entire game.
“[Our goal this season] is to definitely go undefeated this year. We’ve worked hard for it,” Maxwell Born (9) said.
The boys led the game with aggressive passes and defense. They feel confident about this win and hope for more. The team has gone undefeated the entire season and hopes to maintain that winning streak.
“We played well. I’d say our strengths are that we work really hard, and we work through every detail,” Jake Dykstra (9) said.
Although the season is almost over, the freshmen have high hopes for the future games. The players and coaches are very proud of their accomplishments so far in the season. The boys will make room for improvement, but are pushing to remain winners this year.
