Will Kruzan (11) is playing Prince Eric in the spring musical “The Little Mermaid”. The musical will be performed on Friday, March 4 through Sunday, March 6 and Thursday, March 10 through Saturday, March 12.
Q: What is it like playing the lead male role in the musical?
A: It’s really cool because it’s only my third musical and I’m the lead after not having that much experience.
Q: Did you expect to get the role?
A: I was surprised when I got it because I am a junior and it’s only my third musical.
Q: How did you react to the news?
A: I was really excited and wanted to hug [Mrs. Pam Neth, English, and her husband].
Q: What are your feelings about doing the first show in the new auditorium?
A: I’m really excited because we have a whole new facility to be in. It’s really large and really professional.
Q: Will there be any difficulties performing in a new facility?
A: We’ve been in the LGI for the past two years, so we have to accommodate for being in a larger space and we’re not really used to it.
Q: What is the hardest part about your role?
A: Memorizing song lyrics for me is the hardest part about playing Eric.
Q: How is your chemistry with Hannah Souronis (11), who is playing the role of Ariel?
A: It’s good because we’ve acted together before in a lot of shows.
Q: Why should people come see the musical?
A: They should see it because it’s the first show in the new auditorium. It’s a really well-known show with a great cast and awesome music.
