Q: What is it like being a freshman on the varsity gymnastics team?
A: It’s fun. You definitely feel good because your freshman year you already made it, so you know that you’re just going to keep improving through your senior year.
Q: How did you get started in gymnastics?
A: I took classes at Midwest, and they suggested that I should join the team. I was like, ‘You know what, what the heck [I will do it].’ I was 12-years-old, so I did a lot in three years.
Q: How long have you been in gymnastics?
A: Three and a half years.
Q: Best part about being on the gymnastics team?
A: The best part is making new friends and the feeling when you get a good score. You just feel so fulfilled, like you’ve done something great.
Q: What is your biggest accomplishment this season?
A: I’ve broken 9 on everything except beam. That’s really hard to do, especially in high school. We set the record for highest team score this year.
