The JV boys track team faced Michigan City on Tuesday, April 19 at home. They ran hard and brought home a win 78-54.
“We didn’t run our best times but we won the race. [For our next race, we] definitely need to prepare better just with warm-ups and things [by] being more prepared and knowing when our times are for our events,” Isaac Beatty (9) said.
Even though the boys won, they still want to improve on their times. They want to do they best they can to improve for the rest of the season.
“I did good on trying to work on trying to get faster, [but] I still got a long way to go. I just want to get a better time and then try to get first in my events that I run. I ran a 60 in the 400 and I’m trying to get that down to 58 [seconds],” Carlos Mancera (9) said.
The boys JV track teams will try their best to finish off the rest of the season.
