JV boys baseball faced off against Penn and defeated them with a score of 5-2. The game was on Saturday, April 23.
“I think overall we did pretty well. We ended up winning our game, so it was a pretty good day,” Kyle Litwicki (10) said.
The boys had a very strong defense and stopped Penn from scoring many runs.
“Usually it’s our hitting that stands out, but defense shined that day. Our pitchers did their job, and the defense made plays behind our pitchers,” Litwicki said.
Penn has a reputation for a good offense, but the Indians were ready to battle against them.
“Offensively it was great. Penn is known for their great offense. It was a battle of who had the better offense, but ours was better,” Raymond Hilbrich (10) said.
The boys next game is Tuesday, April 26 at home against Merrillville.
