With the kids jingle-belling and everyone telling you, “be of good cheer!” – it is the most wonderful time of the year.
Winter break is the time of year where students are relieved from school work and happy to get into the spirit of the holidays, but what is there to do on Winter Break? Some students use the time to get away and travel.
“My brother has a college bowling tournament in Pennsylvania, so we’re going to go watch him,” Kierstyn Rush (11) said.
Leaving town is only one way to spend time; many students stay home and celebrate the holidays with their families.
“[My favorite thing about Winter Break is] sleeping in! I also like spending time with family,” Denise Rodriguez (11) said.
While celebrating the holidays is something students look forward to over the break, students just want to have fun on their escape from school.
“I like waking up late and going outside and playing in the snow,” Daniel Shanks (11) said.
