Schedules are out and so are the jitters for the upcoming school year. The first day of school is quickly approaching on your calendars and freshman are preparing to become high schoolers which can cause some stress.

“When I was touring LC, I was overwhelmed because I didn’t know where anything was, but now I sort of know where things are so I’m not as nervous,” Sophie Drake (9) said.

Every student has dealt with the same nervousness at one point or another. With that being said, helpful tips have accumulated over the years to help ease the panic.

“Don’t be afraid to make new friends and put yourself out there. Just enjoy your first day and the years to come. You will create your favorite memories in high school,” Taylor Rudnik (12) said.

Thoughts of a big school and new teachers may scare incoming students, but to their fellow upperclassmen, it is just another school year closer to graduation. These four years are meant to be filled with memories and education, so forget your worries and enjoy your time at Lake Central.
