On Aug. 23, Lake Central’s freshman volleyball team played against Munster. They worked hard and gave it their best, but eventually lost with a score of 25-23 in the first set and 25-20 in the second set.
“I think [the game] went pretty well, but we could [have] bettered the ball a little more and get our hits in,” Jillian Moore (9) said.
The girls tried communicating with each other as the game went on, but it may not have been their strongest quality.
“We can improve on our talking and moving to the ball,” Jessica Toberman (9) said.
As most sports players know, a lot of work goes into preparing for games. The volleyball team likes to practice and condition before games to improve on certain plays.
“[We] practice, work hard, and try to do our best at everything,” Moore said.
Even though it was a loss, the girls still found some highlights that stuck out to them during the game.
“I feel our hits and our serves were on point today,” Moore said.
The girls next game will be on Thursday, August 25 against Chesterton at 5 p.m.
