On Aug. 22, the JV girls soccer team faced off against the Griffith Panthers. So far, the season has taken effort and teamwork from the girls because there were several new members recruited to JV.
“We were a little iffy today, trying to help each other around. I think that as we get more comfortable with each other, our scores and teamwork will show it,” Kaitlyn Kennedy (10) said.
Working together was a big factor for the team. It set the tone for the game.
“I think [the atmosphere] was awesome. The girls were positive coming out,” Asst. Coach Vince Pucci said.
The girls were ahead from the start of the game, quickly scoring a goal in the first few minutes. The team continued to fight strong through the entire game and ended with a score of 4-0.
“As we keep going, our chemistry keeps getting better and stronger, and that is a really big factor on the field. I think that will really help us throughout the season,” Carson Walczak (12) said.
