The varsity volleyball team took on the Valparaiso Vikings on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The girls played a hard game overall, but were defeated in a 3-0 loss against the Vikings.
The first set ended with a total score of 25-20.
“I think we did really well the first set, we definitely worked hard even though we faced a loss. Toward the end of the sets, I feel like we could have pushed a little harder, but overall I’m still proud of these girls,” Peyton Crnjak (10) said.
The team kept a positive attitude throughout the games and continued to play hard. The second set ended with a final score of 25-16.
“Overall, I believe we may not have played our best volleyball tonight, but we definitely stayed together as a team and stayed positive. Next time we hope to stay more focused and give it our all,” Lauren Stearns (11) said.
Each game finished with a close score. The team hopes to learn and improve from their loss and continue to push forward to Sectionals. The girls will head out to Sectionals on Oct. 18.
