Winter Formal may be the dance on people’s minds, but the Junior Class Cabinet is already planning Prom.
“[The Junior Class Cabinet] decided on a theme, and we’ve been trying to decide on favors and colors,” Taylor Flahive (11) said.
The final overall theme has yet to be revealed, but the club is hard at work divvying up the detail work among them.
“We set up committees to plan for flowers, the DJ and the food,” Jill Ryan (11) said.
Although the dance may seem far in the future, the Junior Class Cabinet is attempting to utilize their time effectively and efficiently.
“We haven’t discussed [the Prom Court] yet; we want more of the theme and menu picked out before because [choosing the ballot for Prom Court] takes less time,” Anna Swan (11) said.
This year, the club hopes to sell T-shirts before Prom to lower the cost.
“In the next few weeks, we will be deciding on a T-shirt design. We want to make Prom the best that it can be and involve as many people as we can,” Flahive said.
