On Tuesday, April 4, the varsity boys baseball team was defeated by Chesterton.
“Overall I think the game didn’t go our way, but sometimes you have to tip your hat to the other team because Chesterton is a really good team. Chesterton is fifth in the state for a reason and they were a great team. They have great pitchers and good hitters and we saw that on the game on Tuesday. Hopefully we play them in the postseason and get redemption,” Joseph Graziano (12) said.
It was an overall close game, with the Trojans only winning by one run with a final score of 2-1.
“[We plan on] hitting for the team and not for ourselves. We need to work on running instead of trying to hit a homerun every time,” Nicholas Bandura (12)
The varsity team plans on working on working together to be successful for the rest of the season.
“Our team could improve on our hitting and producing more runs. Eventually we will come around and start hitting better,” Graziano said.
