St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday celebrated on March 17. This festive occasion is filled with shades of green and four-leaf clovers; however, there are many people who share their birthday with this holiday.
“I like [having my birthday on St. Patrick’s Day] because it’s different and on a holiday. There are always decorations up for my birthday, and it makes the occasion more festive,” Hannah Davidson (11) said.
However, there is a misconception for those who are born on this day.
“Everybody always asks me if I’m Irish, but I’m not,” Davidson said.
For some, this birthday marks a unique celebration that comes only once in a lifetime.
“This year is extra special because it is my golden birthday and it’s on a Saturday, so I don’t have to go to school. I get to spend the whole day with my friends and family that I love so much,” Elizabeth Markiewicz (11) said.
