Q: Where are you going to college at?

A: Indiana State University.

Q: Did you get any scholarships there?

A: Sycamore Teacher Leader Scholarship.

Q: What is the Sycamore Teacher Leader Scholarship?

A: Through the Bayh College of Education, it’s a full tuition and you need to have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, an 1100 SAT or 1170 SAT, or 24 ACT and demonstrate leadership and some sort of community engagement and service. You have to have some sort of education major. You get a full ride too.

Q: How many people get this scholarship?

A: Only 10 are selected each year for this one.

Q: When did you find out you got the scholarship?

A: I was interviewed for it April 6 at ISU College of Education and I found out the 14 through an email.

Q: Did you always want to go there or did you only choose Indiana State because of the scholarship?

A: That’s where I wanted to go and then I came across the scholarship later on it all fell into place.
