The JV boys soccer team defeated Merrillville High School on Sept. 26. The game was at Lake Central where the crowd gathered to cheer them on. The boys won with the score of 7-1.

“I felt calm, relaxed and good [going into the game],” Liam Blaze (10) said.

The boys were very calm stepping out onto the field and were prepared for the game.

“[Our team has improved] with the help of Coach Graves coaching us. He has made us all better players,” Kyle Kennedy (9) said.

The boys worked together to beat Merrillville that game. They had played other teams like Merrillville throughout the season and they knew that they had to stay focused.

“I am satisfied [with this season], because we have a very young JV team, and we did well this season, so we will be good in the future as well,” Blaze (10) said.

The boys were very pleased with how the season has gone. They have worked hard all season.

“We just had team bonding and we just all got closer through that,” Kyle Kennedy (9) said.

The boys’ chemistry has also helped them win games this season. Being able to work together on the field has helped them perform their best.

“I am just going to miss playing the game,” Blaze (10) said.

The boys are upset as the season comes to end an end. The team also looks forward to their next season in hopes that they will continue to improve.
