On Saturday, Nov. 3, the girls basketball team played against the North Central Panthers. They had already played against Elkhart Central earlier in the day for their Classic Tournament.
“I think one thing that we can improve on tremendously is playing as one team, especially on defense. Just being where we’re supposed to be and helping in certain spots [are things that we can improve on as well],” Bailey Fehrman (12) said.
The team lost to North Central 69-37. Despite the loss, the girls still have high hopes for the rest of their season.
“My goal for this season is to win DAC with my team, and in the postseason go as far as we can,” Allison Mularski (11) said.
Even though they did not come out with a win, the girls worked very hard to try and defeat North Central. They pride themselves on being close with their teammates and lifting each other’s spirits after a loss.
“After a loss like that, I think we just need to stick together and in the end it will be a good run. [People who want to try out] should be prepared to do a lot of work,” Mularski said.
