The girls junior varsity basketball team took on Munster High School on Tuesday, Nov. 27. The girls started off with a 17-0 lead after the first quarter. The final score was 48-11.

“I think we played good tonight and if we stay like this we can come out on top of the DAC,” Sarah Cunningham (10) said.

The girls kept their energy and momentum up throughout the game and intensified as the game went on.

“The game went really well, we all played together and kept our energy up throughout the game which is really important,” Taytum Damron (10) said.

Since it’s early in the season, the team has time for improvement.

“Something I can [personally] improve for the rest of the season is just to keep working hard and improve my footwork and other skills,” Damron said.

The girls have had a great start to their season. They continue to improve at each practice and game in hopes of finishing strong.

“I think we have a pretty good chance to improve and do big things this season,” Cunningham said.
