Q: When did you start flying airplanes?
A: I started flying towards the end of August.
Q: Why do you like it?
A: I like it because it makes me happy.
Q: What made you interested?
A: I was interested ever since I was about four or five years old. My mom is a flight attendant and we would take her to the airport, where I got to see the big birds.
Q: Is this something you want to do in the future as a career?
A: Yes, I’m hoping to start off in the military and then after that I want to start a career as an airline pilot.
Q: How often do you go flying and where?
A: I try to go at least once a week at the Griffith-Merrillville Airport
Q: Do you fly by yourself or with someone?
A: Right now I have to fly with my instructor, Ankit. He can give me endorsements which allow me to fly on my own, but he is always there on the radio to help me. Once I acquire my private license, I will be able to fly on my own whenever I want.
Q: On a scale of 1-10, how skilled would you say you are?
A: I would say that I’m a seven. There are still so many things I have yet to learn. Studying hard and asking my instructor for help makes me a better pilot.
