02/16/19 Boys Varsity Swimming Sectionals Gallery

The boys swim team traveled to Munster High School over the weekend to compete in sectionals. The boys had prelims in Thursday Feb. 14 and placed second to Munster on Saturday Feb. 16

Taking Down the Vikings
Stepping back to hit the ball, freshman varsity player Joseph Devine (9) works hard to win the match. Devine got a pep talk from his coach with some advice and motivation. “I started playing tennis for physical therapy when I broke my knee. I wanted to join the Lake Central tennis team because I thought that it would be something that I would enjoy and to be more physically active. I always give my all during matches even if I don’t feel my best. I have had a back injury and a wrist injury but I try to not let that hold me back,” Devine said.
