On August 29, the JV boys soccer team played against Portage in the scorching heat. They stuck through the high temperature of 82 degrees and came out on top with a final score of 1-0.
During the first quarter, the boys were getting weary and anxious looking at the scoreboard.
“We never gave up once, and we ended up playing a really good game,” Miguel Palacios (9) said.
The parents cheered and coaches yelled throughout the whole game, and with 30 seconds left, the boys finally scored.
