On Thursday, Sept. 9, the varsity girls soccer team played at home against Griffith. The team finished off with a winning score of 3-1.
“We’ve improved since our first game this season; we are getting used to each other as a team,” Serena Stincic-Perez (11) said.
The girls displayed good communication among each other, which helped them work together as a team.
“I think we stayed composed and played our best,” Stincic-Perez said.
Stincic-Perez has been trying to improve her game in any way possible; she has high hopes of defeating Crown Point this year.
“I’m not a big talker on the field, so I’m working on my communication this season.” Stincic-Perez said.
The team has been working on trying to become more aggressive and moving the ball throughout the field more in order to do better than last year.
“Our record is about the same, but I definitely think we play together better than last year.” Tarah Hamby (10) said.
