Justin for “Justice”
May 18, 2021
Justin Bieber recently dropped his sixth studio album “Justice” on March 19. This album came with a shock considering it was released only 13 months after his last album “Changes.” He announced on Instagram on Feb. 26 about the surprise album with a paragraph explaining the background about the album. Bieber released 16 new songs on the album.
The album starts off with the song “2 Much.” This song leads off with a powerful quote from Martin Luther King Jr. It says, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” This is a powerful way to open his new album because the whole concept of the album is about gaining justice for those who did not have it beforehand. Bieber then proceeds to sing about how spending too much time away from his significant other is almost unbearable. This love song brings a new perspective to the table about Bieber’s feelings towards love.
Bieber had already released multiple singles from the new album before it was released. The first song to be released is “Holy” featuring Chance the Rapper. This up-beat song reached the top 20 in the United States. The other singles include “Lonely,” “Anyone” and “Hold On.” Along with “Holy,” the three other songs also reached the top 20 in the United States. Justin Bieber broke records with these songs upon the release of “Justice.”
Bieber had many artists featured on his new album. Some include Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, Tori Kelly and Kid Laroi. Each song with these artists has a different vibe. The songs all preach different inspirational quotes, whether it is about mental health, love or unjust acts. I think that Justin did a great job at putting this puzzle piece of an album together. There are so many amazing songs on this album, and I think that each one tells a meaningful story that the listeners can relate to on some level. My personal favorite song is “Ghost” because I feel like this song truly shows a lot of raw emotion. And I also love the beat of this song and the meaning behind it.
Overall, I think that this is one of Justin’s best albums. Each song has a different sound, and they never get boring. I could listen to this album on repeat for days on end and not get sick and tired of hearing it. I would recommend this album to everyone, because no matter what kind of music you like, there will be a song on this album that you will love and relate to. This diverse album will continuously be on repeat for the next few months.
