Unfazed by the chilly September air, Lake Central students, staff and family members alike gathered Friday night for the Homecoming tailgate.
“The traditions I love most about Homecoming is everyone going all out,” Juliet Johnson (10) said.
Far from lacking pride, students were covered in blue from head to toe. With various clubs and sports selling old jerseys and team gear, many students were drenched in school pride. Little siblings running about were eager to have their faces painted or go jumping in the moon bounce.
“[I come to the tailgate] so I can get pumped up before the game and so I can spend time with my friends,” said Kearney Fagan (12).
An evening of excitement for all, students met up with their friends in preparation for the big game. Seniors reminisced on homecomings past and tried to make the very most of their last tailgate as an LC student.
“[My favorite thing about the tailgate is] seeing everyone and all the memories we make,” Jill Ryan (12) said.
An event not to be forgotten, the tailgate was a fun-filled evening for everyone who participated.
