Baseball is the second most popular sport to watch in America. Major League Baseball consists of 30 teams, 15 in the National League and 15 in the American League.

The 2021 season alone had 162 games played. During the playoffs it came down to the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves, who haven’t won a World Series title in 26 years.

The winner is determined by who wins the best of seven games. The Braves took the World Series Champion title in six games.

The Braves took the World Series trophy to its new home in Atlanta. The team celebrated with parades and parties.

Freddie Freeman is one of the most beloved players on the team. Freeman played 11 seasons with the Braves and finally earned his World Series ring and title.

“I’m happy that Freddie Freeman won a ring and that the Astros lost,” Luka Cucuz (11) said.

The Astros won the title last year and gave a good run to make it to the playoffs again this season. The Braves won four games and lost two to win it all.

“I think the Braves winning was cool and I really wanted them to win, especially against the Astros, who no one really likes,” Julian Lopez (12) said.

All teams of the MLB now move into the off season where they work hard in practices to get stronger. The teams strive to reach their goals and to have a great 2022 season.
