The JV boys basketball team faced off against William Henry Harrison High School Jan. 8 in a head-to-head battle, with coaches making rough calls and getting angry with referees to a couple of rough falls, the boys ended up taking the game and winning 45 to 36. The team working together to win the game, with the hard work and dedication they may be able to win the season. Seeing as the boys have only lost one game so far, they are quite confident that they will be able to make it through.
“The season has been good we only lost one game so far, and we really came together as a team. We can probably improve on communication, on defense and making the extra pass,” Gabe Anderson (11) says.
Communication is one of the biggest things on the field, learning how to go about your teammate’s movements is one of the most important things in sports. Especially, with a game that’s quarters are only ten minutes and only having four quarters.
“Our season is off to a good start, we work hard in practice every day competing against each other. I think we do need to improve on playing all four quarters with the same intensity but we have time. We just have to play to our potential and play with great energy from the start. I think it’s just we have to stay ready so we don’t have to get ready,” Andrew Duggan (10) said.
