This weekend is closing night for the LC Theater Company’s play Harvey Girls.
The play focuses on a restaurant located near a train station in the Southwest with only female waitresses. Harvey Girls tells the stories of the waitresses and crazy customers that come through the restaurant such as an armed woman, retired actress, and smooth-talking salesman.
“[The play] is really funny. It’s something different than what you usually see,” Nicole Boulazeris (10) said.
The Theater Company has been working on the play since August and has put in hours of hard work and dedication.
“All the efforts and work pulled together. I was really proud of everyone,” Richanne Matthews (12) said.
Harvey Girls runs through this weekend, Nov. 9 and 10 in the LC Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for ages 12 and under, $7 for students, and $9 for adults. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
