Taylor Swift fans or Swifties, all over the world have been awaiting the arrival of the long awaited “Eras Tour Movie”. The famous pop star started her world tour on March 17, 2023. The tour has songs from each of her albums, cleverly named the “Eras Tour”. Many Swifites were very disappointed when tickets sold out before they had a chance to buy them. However, Swift came up with an easy solution, film one of her concerts and release it as a movie.
Taylor recorded 3 of the 6 nights she performed in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. She used clips from each of the 3 nights and released the 2 hours and 48 minute movie. The tickets were priced at $19.89, the title of one of her albums and is also her birth year, for adults and $13.13 for kids, 13 is her lucky number. The film’s first showing was on October 13 and will air in theaters until November 13.
Swift encouraged her fans to make friendship bracelets, dress up, sing, dance, and have a good time like they would if it were an actual concert. In some theaters fans are dancing and singing in front of the screen, while in other theaters fans are enjoying the movie from their seats. She has also reminded her fans to keep the theaters clean, and be respectful of everyone in the theater. Many employees have said they are impressed at how clean Swifties are leaving the theaters in.
Swifties are glad for the experience this movie has provided, since so many of them were not able to see the concert in real life. While going to the movies is not quite the same, it is as close as some fans may get.
