On August 21, the boys varsity team played the Merrillville Pirates. They won with a score 5-0, running the Pirates off the field.
“I think I did OK, I feel like I could have played better. Our whole team did just OK, that reflected my individual play, too. I think I could have worked harder, been faster and smarter with my decisions,” Troy Howell (12) said.
With a rough start to the season the Indians hope to make a comeback.
“I believe our team could make a good run this season in state, so I am hoping we can turn our season around. We had a rough start, but I think we could turn our season around. Even win the state championship,” Howell said.
