On Oct. 17, the Lake Central Softball team had their annual Halloween Softball practice. All of the girls had to dress up in Halloween costumes so they could play dodgeball. Many of the girls liked having a break from the vigorous practices that they are used to.
“Our Halloween practice is one of my favorite softball days of the year. We all got to dress up in costumes to play dodgeball. Our practices tend to be pretty intense, so it’s nice to have a day just to enjoy,” Rylie Cruz (10) said.
All of the seniors got together and decided to coordinate their costumes for their last Halloween softball practice.
“This year for the Halloween softball practice I was dressed as Bowser from Mario Kart. All of the other seniors were also dressed as Mario Kart characters,” Madeline Bickle (12) said.
Many of the girls hope to do this activity again next year.
“It was different then what we did last year but I still think everyone enjoyed it. I think we had a good team and a good strategy. I had a great time and I hope we do it again next year,” Allison Messburg (10) said.
