Varsity hockey had an eventful weekend with two shutouts, one on Friday and another on Sunday.
Friday night’s game was at Midwest Training and Ice Center where they faced Lakeshore St. Joseph. In fighting to maintain their winning record, they finished the game with a final score of 1-0, a successful shutout.
Two days later, the team traveled to South Bend to battle South Bend Adams. Pushing to once again defend their winning record, the team fought long and hard for the entirety of the game. Their hard work paid off because they managed another shutout with a score of 4-0.
“Everyone did what they were supposed to do, they played smart. They didn’t have any penalties that cost them anything bad. They didn’t do anything stupid, they played smart and good,” Jakob Davis (12) said.
Varsity plays again this Friday against Riley in South Bend.
