In the world of sports, the word “dynasty” is not a word that is to be taken lightly.
Alabama may have just cemented themselves as a dynasty.
With Monday night’s shellacking over the Fighting Irish, the Crimson Tide has now captured three out of the last four national championships. Junior quarterback A.J. McCarron passed for 264 yards and threw for four touchdowns in the 42-14 win.
Junior running back Eddie Lacy rushed for 140 yards and had one touchdown in the game. With the acquisition of his most recent championship Alabama coach, Nick Saban, is now in the discussion as one of the greatest college football coaches of all time.
Notre Dame was undefeated prior to the championship game. Though they got the short end of the pigskin, their fans can say that they followed a successful season.
After what transpired Monday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide can be expected to wash over their competition in future endeavors.
