Tuesday Jan. 8, the freshmen boys basketball team faced off against Munster.
Munster defeated LC with a score of 25-40 in Game A, but LC made a comeback in Game B to take the win with a final score of 44-35.
“A defeat by Munster hurts. It just feels bad,” Gage Ray (9) said about the game A loss.
The boys put up a fight against the Mustangs.
“We got a good batch of freshmen this year. They are very talented,” Head Coach Brett Summers said.
Many of the players have been playing basketball for years and plan to continue in the future.
“I’ve been playing basketball my whole life. It’s both a dream and a hobby to play in high school and in college,” Ethan Darter (9) said.
Like in most cases, the team could still use improvement.
“Our offense in general needs to be improved,” Colin Studer (9) said after game A.
The next freshman game is Jan. 10 at 6:00 p.m. against the Crown Point Bulldogs at home.
