On Thursday, Jan. 10, the JV girls swim team was defeated by Munster.
“Munster is always really tough, and they have more people. They’re always really fast,” Harper Demir (11).
Although they endured a lost, Demir, who has been swimming since freshman year, knows where the team can improve.
“We need to improve our turns. We’ll be neck and neck and when we turn we fall short of the other team,” Demir said.
Stephanie Sanders (9) has been swimming competitively for three years and wants to improve her freestyle by Saturday, which is the Duneland Athletic Conference competition for JV Girls.
“I love swimming at Lake Central, because I like the people and have made a lot of friends in swimming. I’m excited to swim at DAC,” Sanders said.
The JV girls last meet of the season is at LaPorte on Saturday, Jan. 19.
