Girls bowling ventured to Hobart for their Sectional meet on Sunday, Jan. 27, where the team, along with two individuals, Allison Sellers (12) and Kierstyn Rush (12) qualified for Regionals.
“I had confidence in our team because of the amount of talent we have for the girls that were chosen to bowl. [I hoped] to win team and win Sectional’s individuals for my senior year. I wanted to do everything,” Sellers said.
Sellers was not alone in her expectations going into Sectionals.
“I expected us to win, because we’ve been working really hard all season and we have a lot of talent on our team. I had never made it individually before. Along with the team making it, that was one of my goals. I didn’t expect to make it, so it was a good surprise,” Rush said.
On Feb. 2, the team will journey to Michigan City for Regionals.
“I really do expect us to win [Regionals], because we have so much talent on our team, and if everybody gets hot, if everyone’s on their game, then nobody can stop us,” Rush said.
