The Lady Indians gymnastics team traveled to LaPorte on Wednesday, Feb. 13. The girls warmed up with high hopes of victory, but unfortunately came up short.
Each meet includes four main events: bar, beam, vault and floor. Every girl participates in at least two events.
“I do all four events, but I like floor the best because it shows your personality,” Andi Wartman (10).
Out of the 10 girls on the team, the top three highest scores are judged. The judges average the three scores to see what team scored higher in the event.
“The judges take the top three scores, so each girl throws their hardest pass to get in the top. My hardest pass is a one and a half,” Wartman said.
The Indians were unable to beat the Slicers Wednesday, but hope to come back stronger for their next meet.
